Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Electrical Technician. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing electrical, instrumentation, and controls maintenance throughout our facility. Your primary focus will be on equipment breakdowns, installation and startups, process improvements, and preventative/precision maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical, instrumentation, and controls maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.
  • Respond to urgent production needs related to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs as needed.
  • Utilize our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support the maintenance function, including review, execution, and documentation of scheduled/unscheduled work.
  • Understand and apply NEC code regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various electrical components and systems, including medium voltage automation systems and motor control circuits.
  • Participate in root cause failure analysis to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, and take personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities, and/or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to do basic math.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior training and education in OSHA 30 Hour, HAZMAT awareness, Arc Flash, LOTO, electrical systems, and fall protection.
  • Prior training in NEC code.
  • Prior training in instrumentation and controls.
  • Prior food manufacturing experience.
