Position Title: Academic Year Lecturer

Salary Range:
Lecturer A/2 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $4,530 – $6,056 per month
Lecturer B/3 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $5,405 – $11,994 per month
Lecturer C/4 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,190 – $13,172 per month
Lecturer D/5 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $7,794 – $13,797 per month
The anticipated hiring range is typically at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, based on education and experience. Most new lecturers are appointed at the Lecturer A or B rank.
Position Overview:
The Department of Psychology is gathering application materials for a pool of lecturers to fill positions as needed throughout the academic year. Appointments from this pool are temporary and are often made shortly before the academic term begins.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in a relevant field is required for lecturer appointments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching
- Preference will be given to bilingual candidates
Responsibilities:
Lecturers will be responsible for teaching one or more sections of courses for which they are deemed qualified by the Department Chair. Teaching assignments will be based on individual qualifications and departmental needs.

Applicants must submit a current cover letter (including a discussion of how they have addressed or plan to address teaching diverse student groups), a CV, a list of courses they are qualified to teach, a copy of unofficial transcripts for their highest earned degree, and contact information for three professional references. About the Department:
The department consists of a collaborative group of faculty members and staff, supporting teamwork among faculty within the department and across the campus. The department serves approximately 1200 majors, 150 minors, and 100 graduate students, offering a BA in Psychology and MA and MS degree programs aimed at preparing students for various professional paths.
