As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our patients by providing comprehensive care. Your responsibilities will encompass hands-on tasks such as facilitating outpatient treatments and conducting laboratory tests, as well as supporting services like admitting and discharging patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians to ensure high-quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Support the medical team to enhance productivity and maintain a smooth patient flow.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' health concerns and provide guidance on membership options, medications, and treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records with the help of practice systems.
  • Gather relevant health history from clients and keep medical charts updated.
  • Utilize safe restraining techniques, adhere to standard protocols, and ensure clean, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and laboratories.
  • Be prepared to mentor and support fellow team members.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Preferred: 2 years of continuous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
  • Commitment to practicing empathetic, high-standard veterinary medicine.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
  • Possess a positive attitude and provide trustworthy communication to patients, team members, and clients.
  • A desire for continuous growth and advancement as a veterinary assistant.

Salary Range: Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience. The actual rate offered will take into account a variety of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. A generous hourly shift differential (between $1 and $4 per hour) applies to non-daytime and weekend hours.
