Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer

The Omni Inclusive team is seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to join our team. As an EMC Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up EMC testing of IBM DS8K, including verifying calibration of test equipment and troubleshooting equipment such as spectrum analyzers, pre-amplifiers, antennas, EMI probes, and oscilloscopes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify calibration of test equipment and troubleshoot equipment such as spectrum analyzers, pre-amplifiers, antennas, EMI probes, and oscilloscopes.
  • Perform low-level OS configuration and support for all IT equipment during testing.
  • Develop and implement EMC testing plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EMC compliance.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) design and testing.
  • IBM Certified for EMC testing.
  • Expertise in DS8K Radiated Emission testing.
  • Expertise in DS8K Radiated Electromagnetic Susceptibility.
  • Experience with DS8K High Frequency Emissions.
  • Experience with DS8K Low-Frequency Emissions.
  • Experience with DS8K Electrostatic Discharge.
  • Experience with DS8K Conducted Emission.
  • Experience with DS8K Conducted Immunity.
  • Experience with DS8K Telecom Emission.
  • Experience with DS8K Power line Disturbance.
  • Experience with DS8K Electrical Fast Transient.
  • Experience with DS8K Voltage Dip.
  • Experience with DS8K Electrical Surge.
  • Experience with DS8K Harmonics and Flickers.
  • Experience with DS8K Power Magnetic Frequency Test.
  • Hands-on work or school laboratory experience in RF, antenna, shielding, and/or compatibility testing and design.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge in the use of oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, and other electrical test equipment.
  • Basic knowledge in Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Well-versed in using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamworking skills.
