Position Overview:
Support the Café Manager in guiding and training café personnel to excel in food and beverage preparation and service, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment that prioritizes outstanding guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior café staff, exemplifying professionalism in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
2. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Point-of-Sale (POS) systems to ensure precise order processing.
3. Exhibit thorough knowledge of menu offerings and daily specials to assist guests effectively.
4. Handle cash and credit transactions with integrity, assisting the Café Manager in preparing accurate sales and tips reports.
5. Collaborate with the Café Manager in the development and coaching of café staff, ensuring adherence to operational policies and procedures.
6. Uphold confidentiality regarding staff matters at all times.
7. Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding the service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
8. Understand and implement the Company’s Environmental & Quality management systems, as well as Health and Safety standards.
9. Foster teamwork and support Café Management in achieving business goals.
10. Perform additional duties as outlined in the Duties Checklist or as assigned.
Position Requirements:
1. Must possess ServSafe Certification as per Company policy.
2. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
3. Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
4. Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative spirit to motivate others positively.
5. Capability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and perform tasks involving bending, twisting, and squatting.
6. Majority of the shift will be spent on foot in a dynamic environment, interacting closely with others.
Education and Experience:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of one year in a food service establishment; experience in a resort or national park concession is preferred.
