Keys to Success in this Role:
  • Execute administrative tasks
  • Provide consultation and information on continuity of care, complex treatment modalities, and additional health and social services available to patients
  • Educate patients and families regarding cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options
  • Perform complex nursing procedures and prescribed medical treatments
  • Exhibit knowledge of aseptic techniques and practices
  • Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous injections, including diagnostic agents and medications
  • Ensure accurate administration of chemotherapy doses, verifying the '5 rights'
  • Prepare and mix infusion medications following OSHA and manufacturer guidelines
  • Document charges for services rendered in the Infusion Center
  • Perform incidental duties as required
Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current Active Florida RN license
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Heightened sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs
  • Experience in Hematology and Medical Oncology highly preferred
  • Registered Nurse with Oncology & Chemotherapy Certification required
