Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and review tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations for various entities, focusing on individual high-net-worth clients and real estate.
  • Analyze financial statements and perform necessary accounting adjustments, ensuring accuracy in client records.
  • Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for both individual and corporate estimated tax liabilities.
  • Manage client deliverables and ensure compliance with due dates.
  • Prepare or review complex U.S. and state individual income, gift, and estate tax returns.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research and prepare comprehensive memoranda outlining findings.
  • Respond to audits and inquiries from IRS and state agencies, ensuring effective communication with clients and tax authorities.
  • Lead the department in software knowledge, processes, and workflows.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of relevant tax experience.
  • CPA or EA certification required.
  • Experience in individual tax compliance and planning, with familiarity in CS Suite and UltraTax preferred.
  • Knowledge of gift, estate, and trust taxation is advantageous.
  • Experience in partnership taxation is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ability to mentor and lead junior staff effectively.
