About the Position:

Sports Medicine Teacher

Jasper County School District is seeking a qualified Sports Medicine Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching sports medicine to students through a blended curriculum of classroom instruction and work-based learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans for district and CTE curriculum programs.
• Manage a classroom environment conducive to learning and manage student behavior.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment for students' needs.
• Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.

Requirements:

• Sedentary work with occasional walking or standing and minimal physical exertion (up to 10 pounds of force).
• Ability to compare and/or judge data, people, or things.
• Interpersonal communication, verbal aptitude, and numerical aptitude required. Color discrimination, manual dexterity, and motor coordination also necessary.

Evaluation:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with board policy for Professional Personnel. Travel with students to internships and clinical experiences may be required.
