Job Description:

The Total Rewards Manager will oversee the development of compensation and benefit strategies that drive growth, optimize workforce, and enhance productivity. This role involves maintaining relationships with client and carrier representatives, researching, analyzing, and managing medical, life, disability, and other benefit plans. As a benefit advisor to employees, the Total Rewards Manager will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.

About the Opportunity:
  • Setting: Hybrid
  • Assignment Length: 3 months
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm (35-hour work week)
Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight, expertise, and guidance for employees responsible for compensation and benefit administration.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.
  • Partner with the Finance team to ensure timely payment of monthly premiums, compensation, and reimbursement procedures.
  • Develop an effective strategy for benefits enrollment during open enrollment time periods.
  • Create a consistent compensation guideline that matches our work and organizational culture.
  • Complete market studies to ensure compensation practices allow for strategic talent acquisition and retention.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with vendors; act as the subject matter expert on Health & Welfare Benefits and vendor/carrier products and services.
  • Oversee open enrollment process for clients, review employee presentations, and communication materials.
  • Cultivate and maintain benefits vendor relationships to ensure exemplary treatment for employees.
  • Keep leadership teams apprised of industry trends and events, including state and federal regulatory issues.
  • Explain legislative guidelines, including COBRA, HIPPA, ERISA, Section 125, and Health Care Reform to clients; keep employees aware of updates on relevant topics.
  • Provide supervisory oversight to HRIS Data Analyst and Benefits HR Associate as required.
