Role Summary: Soliant Education is in search of a committed and empathetic School Social Services Specialist to join our team. This full-time role is essential in fostering the social and emotional health of students within the educational environment. The selected candidate will engage with students, families, educators, and school administrators to address various social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that may hinder academic success and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct counseling and support services tailored to student needs.
- Perform assessments and create intervention strategies to meet social and emotional requirements.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and community resources to enhance student achievement.
- Champion students' rights and facilitate access to necessary services.
- Ensure the maintenance of precise and confidential student records.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions and assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as required.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
- Valid licensure in the state as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Experience in working with youth in educational settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
