Salary: $75,152 - $102,634 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Youth Mental Health Specialist to join our team at a juvenile justice residential setting. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to youth residing in our facility. Your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting admission screenings, including mental status exams and suicide assessments
  • Developing 30-day assessments, including administration of various mental health and substance use screens, youth and collateral interviews, and record reviews
  • Collaborating with assigned psychiatrists to develop treatment plans
  • Providing individual and group counseling and psychotherapy
  • Treatment reviews and cognitive and other psychological testing as indicated
  • Serving as a member of the facility Committee on Special Education

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must have a doctoral degree in a field of psychology and either a one-year full-time clinical internship or traineeship, or one year of psychology experience in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
