Key Responsibilities:

As an instructor specializing in weapons training, you will facilitate educational programs aligned with the Navy's Antiterrorism and Weapons Training initiatives. Your instructional duties will encompass a variety of courses, including:

  • Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor (SAMI)
  • Antiterrorism Training Supervisor (AT TRASUP)
  • Security Reaction Force-Advanced (SRF-A)
  • Armed Sentry/Security Reaction Force-Basic (AS/SRF-B)
  • Submarine Force Sentry (SUBFOR Sentry)
  • Submarine Force Crew Served Weapons Instructor (SUBFOR CSWI)
  • Crew Served Weapons Operations and Maintenance (CSW O Crew Served Weapons Instructor (CSWI)
  • Non-Lethal Weapons Basic Instructor (NLW-BI)
  • Non-Lethal Weapons Senior Instructor (NLW-SI)
  • Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure Boarding Officer (VBSS BO)
  • Non-Compliant Boarding, Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (NCB VBSS)

Instructor Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive training in accordance with the contract Performance Work Statement (PWS), including instructional, operational, and administrative tasks.
  • Be prepared to teach assigned content and successfully pass any associated assessments, adhering to the contractor's internal quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain familiarity with all presentation methods, testing and remediation procedures, curriculum, training aids, devices, and equipment operation relevant to the courses taught.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

All instructor personnel must meet the instructional qualifications outlined in this section. Candidates should possess one of the following:

  • Completion of the Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) or equivalent military training.
  • Academic credentials in education (teacher/professor).

Additional Requirements for Weapons-Based Instructors:

  • A minimum of two years of military experience in a weapons-carrying operational environment or equivalent experience as a law enforcement officer.
  • A foundational understanding of military and civilian security force techniques.
  • Certification as a Small Arms Weapons (SAMI) Instructor.

Educational Qualifications:

  • GED or High School Diploma.
