Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting:

  • Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Support the Controller in month-end closing and preparation of financial statements.
  • Manage sales tax reporting for both the US and Canada.
  • Calculate monthly sales commissions for external sales representatives.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Assist in customer collections, collaborating with the order processing team to ensure timely invoice processing and delivery.
  • Oversee accurate cash application to customer accounts.
  • Manage customer rebates and allowances according to contracts, making accrual entries as necessary.
  • Assist with payment disputes related to e-commerce transactions.

Accounts Payable:

  • Receive, verify, and post accounts payable invoices.
  • Route invoices to the appropriate team member for approval.
  • Process weekly checks and electronic payments.

Engage in other ad-hoc projects as required.

Essential Qualifications:

• An associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline is preferred.

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

• Experience in the distribution or manufacturing sector is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics, is a plus.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.

• Strong attention to detail is crucial.
