Machinist Technician

We are seeking a skilled Machinist B to join our team at O'Fallon Casting. The successful candidate will be responsible for general machining of routine castings and the building of small fixtures for use in the finishing department.

• Setup and operate drill press, milling machines, and/or lathe to machine castings and build fixtures as required.
• Work from casting blueprints to machine castings, and verify accuracy of work to customer specifications through the use of various measuring instruments.
• Maintain all labor vouchers, records, and files, and enter all required information into the Company software in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor or group leader.

• Technical school diploma in precision machining technology or one year of machining experience.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting casting blueprints.
• Good working knowledge of personal computers and related software.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job.

The successful candidate will work in an area where airborne grinding dust is present.
