Job Description:

We are seeking a Signal Processing Specialist to join our team in the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State.

This position will involve researching, designing, developing, integrating, and testing advanced wireless RF communications systems.

Key responsibilities include creating algorithms and/or software designs, developing C/C++ or equivalent code to interface with developed hardware and associated interfaces (SPI, I2C, etc), and integrating Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware/software components as appropriate.

You will also evaluate/develop communication security protocols, devise, plan, and lead work on extremely complex communications problems, propose and lead new communications initiatives, and present papers, lead symposia, and chair committees.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or higher plus 14 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The estimated salary for this position is $123,200 - $219,600 per year, including all possible grades, depending on qualifications and location.
