About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence Expert to join our team at ManTech International Corporation. As an AI and Machine Learning Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our government customer in Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise on a wide range of Science and Technology activities and missions, including test planning, test execution, data management, and test reporting, with a focus on AI/ML enabled systems.
  • Provide Test and Evaluation oversight support for multiple government programs and possess knowledge, expertise, and education in test and evaluation methods, with a focus on AI/ML enabled systems.
  • Provide T&E expertise for effectiveness and suitability in an operationally constrained environment.
  • Perform Test and Evaluation Technical Analysis as part of an integrated program team, providing technical advisory and lead system integrator technical oversight to the government test and evaluation division lead.
  • Evaluate the performance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions using appropriate metrics and validation techniques, conducting thorough testing to identify and address issues related to accuracy, robustness, and generalization of AI interfaces.
  • Provide insight to program algorithm development, designing and developing machine learning algorithms, deep learning models, and statistical methods to solve complex problems, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, validation, and evaluation.
  • Provide insight to programming and implementation maturity, reviewing AI algorithms and models using programming languages such as Python, R, or TensorFlow.
  • Support data analysis and visualization reviews, analyzing risks with large datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns.
  • Provide insight to model deployment and integration, supporting the approach and analysis with deploying trained models into production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • The candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end System Engineering Life Cycle.
  • Develop guides and training materials for T&E of Artificial Intelligence.
  • Update and teach T&E of Artificial Intelligence seminar.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field with artificial intelligence and/or machine learning experience (mandatory) with T&E interfaces.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and statistical techniques.
  • Experience with data manipulation, analysis, and visualization libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib).
  • Familiarity with software development best practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, reinforcement learning, or other specialized areas of AI.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization Engine technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and distributed computing guidelines.
  • Must be trained/certified or willing to be trained/certified to the DHS T&E Certification Level III equivalency.
  • Respond quickly to requirements and tasks with stringent deadlines in a demanding homeland security environment; possess strong critical thinking abilities and judgment skills; and be able to interact with various levels of people within and outside of a Government organization.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with DHS Acquisition Directives and Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (MD102/ALF); knowledge, understanding and/or experience with the DHS (or DoD equivalent) Test and Evaluation (T&E) policies, procedures, and best practices for conducting, monitoring, and reviewing operational test and evaluation.
  • Ability to support and perform assessments of T&E artifacts, such as the T&E Master Plan (TEMP), Developmental Test and Evaluation Plans, Operational Test and Evaluation Plans, Operational Requirements Documents, Mission Needs Statements, Cyber Resilience Test Plans; and assist with Letters of Assessment, and T&E.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Department of Homeland Security mission space.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with DHS Acquisition Directives and Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (MD102/ALF); knowledge, understanding and/or experience with the DHS (or DoD equivalent) Test and Evaluation (T&E) policies, procedures, and best practices for conducting, monitoring, and reviewing operational test and evaluation.

Education Requirements
  • Master's plus minimum 6 years' experience or equivalent education/experience; bachelor's plus 8 years'; Associates plus 10 years; or H.S./GED plus 14 years is required.
Clearance Requirements
  • A current DHS Suitability Investigation is required to start.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 60%
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
