REGISTERED NURSE – NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT/ICU

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Accreditation: Graduate from an institution recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Experience: Minimum of one year’s experience as a Registered Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care environment within the last three years.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
  • Certifications Required:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Citizenship: Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
  • Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be capable of standing or sitting for extended periods and performing all necessary duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Adhere to established standards of care and operational protocols.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments.
  • Provide health education, counseling, and promotion services.
  • Administer medications, perform wound care, and implement various patient-specific interventions.
  • Supervise and direct the care provided by other healthcare staff.
  • Make patient care assignments based on the skill level and scope of practice of team members.
  • Identify and respond to adverse signs and symptoms in emergency situations.
  • Engage in effective communication with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care and patient education.
  • Perform nursing duties as outlined in the task order.
  • Participate in research initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and outcomes.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Services will be provided on a flexible schedule throughout the week.

Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, demonstrating the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong teamwork and time management skills are essential. A commitment to meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
