We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical and moderate to high complexity procedures in our offsite laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of techniques and procedures involved in the laboratory, including moderate and high complexity tests.
- Determine the acceptability of samples and enter patient information correctly into the laboratory information system.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all instrumentation in the laboratory.
- Participate in quality control, quality assurance initiatives, and equipment maintenance programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent with MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
- One to two years' experience in an accredited Clinical Laboratory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
