As part of our nationwide team of healthcare professionals, you will be responsible for conducting Compensation and Pension evaluations for veterans.
Role Overview
Your primary responsibility will be to perform evaluations on behalf of Veterans Administration vendors, ensuring timely assessments for veterans filing their claims. Adherence to VA and government regulations, including necessary training and documentation for disability claims, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain an organized office environment, warmly greet veterans, and introduce yourself before examinations.
- Complete and submit medical charts and orders within 1-2 business days following the order date.
- Review the medical history available in the provider portal prior to appointments and gather information through comprehensive history and physical examinations, utilizing Disability Questionnaires (DBQs) as required.
- Order ancillary tests such as x-rays, lab work, EKGs, echocardiograms, and pulmonary function tests when clinically necessary to support claimed conditions.
- Complete all required training within designated timeframes.
Work Environment
This position operates within a healthcare setting, with regular interaction with patients who may present contagious illnesses.
Physical Requirements
The individual in this role may need to move around the office to access files and equipment.

Qualifications
- A Master's degree or Doctorate in Nursing or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required. Physicians must hold a graduate degree from an accredited School of Medicine.
- A valid state license and current AANP/ANCC/NCCPA certification are mandatory.
- BLS certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and basic computer proficiency are essential.
