Job Description:

HarborOne Bank is seeking a highly skilled Data Manager to join our team. As a key member of our IT Operations and EPMO team, you will be responsible for managing our data platform and overseeing all internal application development activities.

This role requires a strong technical background, with experience in data architecture, database design, scripting, third-party integration, and API development. You will be working closely with our business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and at least 8-10 years of experience in software development. You will also have experience with data warehousing, including complex data transformation, pivot tables, and SQL queries.

As a Data Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of BI analysts and developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship, and fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

This is a highly visible role that will interact with our senior leadership team, and you will be expected to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effectively understanding, designing, developing, and supporting technical solutions to defined business needs.
  • Hands-on development of software solutions, including coding, debugging, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
  • Partnering with the EPMO to serve as the accountable delivery leader for technology execution through build, test, and implementation.
  • Collaborating with the Infrastructure team, Desktop Computing team, and Information Security Officer to ensure all aspects of compliance, supportability, and maintainability and information security are incorporated in solutions.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8-10 years of software development experience, with a focus on data architecture, database design, scripting, third-party integration, and API development.
  • Experience with data warehousing, including complex data transformation, pivot tables, and SQL queries.
  • Experience with Snowflake tools, including Snowpipe, Snowpark, and advanced concepts such as resource monitoring, virtual warehousing, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Python programming language and invoking Python functions from Snowflake.
  • Experience with ELT/ETL development optimized for efficient storage and low-cost data retrieval needs.
  • Experience with AWS, GitHub, DBT, Snowflake, PowerBI, and Rivery preferred.
  • Exposure to one or more popular low-code/no-code platforms, such as Creatio.
  • Exposure to Workday EIB, Creatio, and AI, such as Machine Learning, a plus.

Additional qualifications include certifications in Snowflake, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and API, as well as recent relevant experience in Banking/Financial Services defining, understanding, and improving banking processes/technology and a proven successful track record of effective management of staff members and initiatives.
