About the Direct Support Professional Role

As a Direct Support Professional at Sevita, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges to live their best lives. You will provide support and care to our participants, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to participants, helping them with daily living tasks and activities
  • Assisting participants with their personal hygiene and supporting individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs
  • Helping participants to develop and achieve their goals, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Supporting participants to participate in their communities and enjoy their favorite activities
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to provide comprehensive support to participants
