About the Transportation Unit
Our well-established Transportation unit operates from Texas, but we welcome Underwriter/Brokers from across the United States. We encourage our professionals to concentrate on the types of business they are most comfortable handling, as our Transportation markets encompass a wide range of opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, nurture, and expand a portfolio of transportation-related business.
2. Cultivate agency relationships and act as the primary client liaison.
3. Design and implement a marketing strategy aimed at boosting both new and renewal business.
4. Assess, quote, and secure coverage for each risk, ensuring acceptability, appropriate coverage, and pricing for both large or complex renewals and new ventures.
5. Track and analyze key performance metrics.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation underwriting or brokerage is essential, with a preference for those with excess and surplus experience.
- Proven expertise in sales and marketing is required.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary of $110,000, with significant earning potential through a structured bonus plan. Brokers can earn bonuses biannually, with top performers enjoying substantial financial rewards based on the growth of their portfolio. Comprehensive benefits are also provided.
