The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Counsel to join our in-house legal and regulatory team. As a trusted advisor, you'll play a critical role in proactively addressing legal issues, managing regulatory compliance, and providing sound counsel to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze changes to laws, regulations, and public policy matters, particularly those related to healthcare and health insurance.
  • Provide timely and critical guidance to support critical operations, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with cross-functional partners and be a team player able to tackle any task to ensure project success.
  • Build processes for the legal function, including the creation and maintenance of playbooks, contract templates, and self-help workflows.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and adapt to changing risk tolerances and operational constraints.
What We're Looking For
  • 4 to 6 years of experience at a major law firm or in-house at a scaling start-up, with a strong preference for demonstrable career focus on technology/healthcare startups.
  • Experience with ERISA and/or employee health insurance benefits.
  • A passion for working in a startup environment and taking on outsized responsibility at an early-stage company.
  • Ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision in fast-changing environments.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset with a willingness to learn, teach, lead, and follow.
  • Stellar communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
