Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment? Do you have a strong foundation in nursing principles and a desire to work in a specialized ENT department? We're seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Optum Pacific West.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct patient flow and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Obtain vital signs and patient information, and report to RNs or clinicians.
- Administer medication, perform patient tests, and instruct patients on procedural preparations under supervision.
- Notify pharmacies of new prescriptions and authorizations.
- Collect, label, and transport specimens to appropriate destinations.
- Maintain exam/treatment areas and medical equipment.
- Perform telephone screening and additional duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited LVN program.
- Active, unrestricted LVN license from the state of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain at the time of hire.
- I.V. and Blood withdraw certification.
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification.
- 1+ years of experience working as an LVN/LP.
