Job Summary

The Executive Chef - Mission Viejo Location prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules. This role serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. The Executive Chef tastes all prepared food items.

This position uses established ticket collection procedures during service. Responsible for records from area worked during service periods. The Executive Chef cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Taste all prepared food items.
• Use established ticket collection procedures during service.
• Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.

Requirements

Education and Experience: A minimum of one year of culinary experience is preferred.

Salary and Benefits: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance/AD, disability insurance, commuter benefits, employee assistance program, flexible spending accounts (FSAs), retirement plan, associate shopping program, health and wellness programs, discount marketplace, identify theft protection, pet insurance, and other voluntary benefits.

Working Conditions: This role requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
