Job Title: Radiology Scheduling Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Radiology Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at M.I.N.D. The ideal candidate will have experience in radiology scheduling and be able to employ our scheduling and authorizing protocols in a professional and ethical manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Polite and sensitive communication with patients and staff
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Responsibility for keeping the MRI schedule full daily
  • Verification of patient information and medical devices
  • Registration of patients into the practice management system
  • Verification of insurance eligibility and authorization
  • Follow-up with outside patients and providers
  • Consistent maintenance of patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of medical/radiology office work experience or call center experience
  • Strong telephone and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented and ability to foster teamwork and inter-personal awareness

Work Environment:

This position operates in a medical office facility and requires the ability to work in a high-field magnetic area. The ideal candidate will be physically able to assist patients on and off the scanner bed and transport patients to and from their procedures.

This position does not require travel.

Required Education and Experience:
