Marine Pipefitter

Job Summary:

Tradesmen International is seeking a skilled Marine Pipefitter to join our team for a project located in Newport News, VA. As a Marine Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing and repairing pipes and piping systems on marine vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping
• Preparing piping by hand and/or with Wach or Portsmouth Machine
• Installing pipe hangers
• Preparing and fitting backing rings
• Cleaning, cutting, and breaking pipe with a grinder
• Preparing V bevels
• Fabricating various details and assemblies from drawings
• Bending pipe from template and using a hand bender
• Fitting welded sockets
• Fitting brazed joints with or without insert ring

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Marine Commercial, Nuclear, or Petro/Chem First Class Pipefitting experience
• Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings
• Experience in the trade
