Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization team at WMCHealth. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support during cardiac catheterization procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient education and orientation to operative events and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care throughout the procedure.
  • Perform thorough and ongoing nursing assessments of patients and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implement principles of medical and surgical asepsis and perform all treatment and procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Accurately document patient information and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Identify physical symptoms and changes and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Participate in Quality Assessment and Improvement (QAI) processes to achieve excellent patient outcomes and improved processes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed in the State of New York.
  • 3 years acute care nursing experience preferred, with a focus on critical care or Emergency Room nursing.
  • Thorough knowledge of Nursing Theory and practice, as well as appropriate technology and practice standards for the area of responsibility.
  • Sound clinical skills, including knowledge of Hospital structure, objectives, and standard of practice.
  • Positive communication skills and certification in areas such as ARIN, SVN, Cardiac-Vascular Nursing, or CCRN preferred.
