Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the parts department, catering to both retail and wholesale clients
  • Achieve departmental goals through effective purchasing strategies and inventory management
  • Manage parts inventory and monitor all associated costs
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure timely availability of parts for scheduled repairs
  • Train and guide parts counter staff to achieve departmental and organizational objectives; manage stock ordering processes
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
  • Stay informed about manufacturer warranties, policies, and return protocols
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations impacting operations
  • Enforce attendance and punctuality policies among team members
  • Set and pursue departmental goals and objectives
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the performance of parts department personnel
  • Ensure proper stocking of incoming inventory
  • Maintain an organized inventory that meets the needs of designated areas
  • Accurately price parts and accessories using appropriate pricing sources and keep the inventory system updated
  • Implement and uphold safety standards
  • Exhibit behaviors aligned with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive parts management preferred
  • 2 years of sales experience preferred
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Professional demeanor and work ethic
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
