- Technology and Tools: Leverage advanced technology and investigative tools, including data analysis software, to enhance reporting. Stay informed on the latest tools and methodologies in investigative journalism.
Qualifications:
- Education: BA or BS in Journalism or a related field; a master's degree or specialized training in investigative journalism is advantageous.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in investigative reporting, ideally within Hispanic or Spanish-language media.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is highly desirable.
- Research Skills: Strong research capabilities, including data analysis, interview techniques, and information verification from diverse sources.
- Storytelling: Exceptional storytelling skills, with an understanding of how to engage the Hispanic audience through culturally relevant content.
- Technical Skills: At least 2 years of experience in reporting, shooting, writing, and video editing. Proficiency in video editing software and newsroom technology is required.
