We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Lead to join our team at the Kansas Department for Children and Families. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of security measures to protect our systems and data from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Develop and maintain relationships with security vendors and partners to stay up-to-date on the latest security technologies and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to IT staff on security best practices and procedures.
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years of IT security experience.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
- CISSP Associate certification preferred.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulations, including NIST and HIPAA.
- Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $85,000 per year.
