About the Position:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Teaching Assistant at the George Mason University Child Development Center. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 2-5 years old.

Responsibilities:

  • Support daily care and education of each child in accordance with Mason's CDC philosophy and values, as well as all licensing guidelines and NAEYC criteria;
  • Communicate directly with parents to establish and maintain family partnerships in the best interest of each child;
  • Help maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean, organized, developmentally appropriate and engaging with the guidance of Lead and Assistant Teachers.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility or school;
  • Must be at least 18 years of age;
  • Some coursework in early childhood education or child development preferred;
  • Background check clearance and TB risk assessment.
