Job Summary

Forefront Healthcare & Culinary Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily housekeeping services to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary environment in accordance with laws, regulations, and facility guidelines.
  • Closely follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Clean floors, including dust mop, wet mop, sweeping, and vacuuming, as well as clean furnishings and fixtures throughout the facility.
  • Dust, disinfect, and clean horizontal surfaces throughout the facility, including public spaces and resident rooms.
  • Remove trash and clean/disinfect waste containers, as well as clean and disinfect restrooms in both resident rooms and public spaces.
  • Clean public spaces, including corridors, stairwells, elevators, waiting rooms, lobby, and other areas as assigned.
  • Perform other department duties as assigned by the Housekeeping/EVS Manager or designee.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is desired.
  • General knowledge of cleaning and infection prevention.
Work Environment

This position requires lifting up to forty pounds (40lbs). The Housekeeper will primarily work throughout the facility, including resident rooms, and will be required to bend, lift, sit, stand, and move frequently throughout the shift. The Housekeeper may be exposed to odors, falls, burns, and exposure to infectious diseases, waste, blood, and body fluids.

Physical Demands

The Housekeeper will be required to stand and walk continuously throughout the working day. The position requires reaching, stooping, bending, lifting, carrying, and working with housekeeping supplies and equipment. The Housekeeper must be free from infection or diseases and must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
