Overview
As a leader in venue management and live event production, ASM Global operates over 350 venues globally. We are seeking a Procurement Intern to join ASM Global's Procurement Department. This role will provide exposure to the daily operations of the Procurement team and facilitate collaboration with various department members.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize data analytics to enhance and refine business processes within the procurement team.
- Collect and evaluate procurement data from diverse sources.
- Collaborate with technology, marketing, business units, buyers, and other internal experts to comprehend core business functions and the procurement group's role in strategy development and execution.
- Assist Procurement teams, including Supplier Diversity, Strategic Sourcing, and eProcurement tools, with tasks such as vendor analysis and data standardization initiatives.
- Gain insights into standard business contract terms, identify business risks, and support negotiation and risk mitigation strategies during contract formulation using data analytics.
- Contribute to vendor management activities related to service level agreements, business reviews, and overall vendor performance oversight.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, procurement, engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrates a systematic approach to problem-solving with strong analytical capabilities.
- Exhibits project management skills, is well-organized, and meets deadlines effectively.
- Possesses strong interpersonal, communication, and customer support skills, with confidence in engaging with internal clients.
- Recognized as responsible, responsive, flexible, accountable, and collaborative.
- Has a foundational understanding of the role of Global Procurement within a corporate environment.
- Familiarity with applications such as Canva is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Access, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint) and possesses strong IT skills.
