Job Title:

Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary:

At KBR, we seek a motivated cybersecurity professional to join our team in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). As a cybersecurity engineer, you will work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to support cybersecurity operations and meet US Air Force requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support cybersecurity of Air Force software factories.
  2. Collaborate with Air Force programs to enable the cybersecurity of applications and infrastructure in a DevSecOps environment.
  3. Support cybersecurity of other Air Force networks, systems, and applications, as assigned.
  4. Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments of current and future networks, infrastructure, and applications.
  5. Perform key cybersecurity analyses and use technical risk management principles to assess applications and systems.
  6. Review documentation to ensure that established security requirements are adequately addressed and sustained.
  7. Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes leading to successful Authority to Operate (ATO) decisions.
  8. Make authorization recommendations to Security Control Assessor (SCA) and Authorizing Official (AO).
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

5% travel may be required.

Qualifications:
  1. BS / BA in computer science and 10 years of directly related experience is required.
  2. DoDM 8140.03 IAM Level III Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is required.
  3. Familiarity with DoDIs 8500.01 & 8510.01, NIST SP 800-53, AFI 17-101, and RMF is required.
  4. Experience with A&A processes, authorization requirements, and SCA/AO requirements is required.
  5. DoD Secret Security Clearance is required at hire and must be maintained. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Active DoD Top Secret Clearance at hire is desired.
  2. ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification is desired.
  3. The ideal candidate will have skills and experience with one or more of the following:
    1. IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
    2. DevSecOps/agile
    3. software applications
    4. cloud (AWS, Azure, e.g.)
    5. virtual machines (VMware, e.g.)
    6. containers (Kubernetes, e.g.)
    7. Red Team/penetration testing
