Job Description

Job Summary:

DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES MFG LP is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality improvement efforts and processes to ensure a culture of high quality expectations and zero defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to drive a culture of high quality expectations and zero defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate the improvement of our Quality Management Systems, including revising and writing procedures, launching and participating in preventative activities such as pFMEA and near-miss analysis.
  • Maintain and improve testing equipment and develop strategies for ongoing validation of line test equipment.
  • Lead and teach responsible teams on root cause analysis using fishbones, 5-why's, and Zero Defects practices, as well as process improvement activities.
  • Supervise, train, and audit incoming personnel and auditors (lab/line).
  • Provide support to production and ensure system adherence.
  • Review and approve engineering changes and documentation changes.
  • Ensure all required documentation is maintained and timely updated.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement processes.
  • Assist Manager/Supervisors as needed.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in an engineering role in an HVAC manufacturing environment.
  • Certification credentials in ISO 9001/14001 preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's in an Engineering field.

Working Environment:

  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
