About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Senior Living Communities. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment, including but not limited to:
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, and reporting any issues or concerns to the Director of Facility Services.
  • Assisting in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Performing tasks related to painting, flooring, and other interior and exterior maintenance projects.
  • Assisting in the success of our preventative maintenance programs, including but not limited to:
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, and reporting any issues or concerns to the Director of Facility Services.
  • Assisting in the installation, repair, and maintenance of therapy pools, swimming pools, and other related equipment.
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent required.
  • Technical training in mechanics, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, or HVAC desired.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance or related field.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and conduct all business with a professional manner and high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to use hand tools, automatic/electrical machinery, carts, and dollies.
  • Thorough knowledge of MSDS and OSHA compliance.
  • Ability to exhibit efficient computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of swimming pools and swimming pool maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Working Conditions
  • Work outdoors and indoors during the work day.
  • Climb up to two flights of stairs.
  • Ability to climb extension ladder up to and above roof height.
  • Lift objects of 25 pounds or less over the head.
  • Move objects of 100 pounds or more.
  • Ability to swim at least 25 yards.
  • Ability to work under time-sensitive or stressful situations.
  • Respond to medical emergencies on a rare occasion.
  • Assist with resident evacuations, if ever required.
