Role Responsibilities and QualificationsAs a Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN), your duties will encompass patient evaluations, care strategy formulation, and ensuring safe treatment delivery as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Formulate and assess care strategies in partnership with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and therapies in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and treatment options.
- Support discharge planning processes.
Qualifications
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience in acute care environments is preferred.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or a Compact RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate to be obtained within one year of employment.
