About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pulmonary PCU team at Mission Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with medical providers to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced pulmonary stepdown unit
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, including telemetry, Bipaps, tracheostomy, and chest tube management
  • Monitor and maintain central lines, IVs, and post-op monitoring
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or current enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • One year of nursing experience, preferably in a pulmonary or critical care setting
  • Preferred: National Certification in area of specialty, such as CCRN or PCCN
