Position Overview:
Title: SAP SCM Specialist
Location: Remote/Hybrid
Duration: 11 months
Role Summary:
The SAP SCM Specialist is a non-exempt position responsible for aligning technological solutions with business objectives, primarily collaborating with senior management. This role involves acting as the principal designer for major systems and their subsystems, utilizing a comprehensive understanding of available technologies, tools, and existing designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with functional groups within the IT organization to articulate and clarify business requirements, contributing to the development of long-term system strategies.
- Provide strategic consultancy to clients in defining or designing business processes, identifying enabling technologies based on specific requirements.
- Proactively explore ways to integrate technology into business processes, researching technical trends and competitor practices relevant to the assigned client business.
- Assess immediate needs through structured interviews to establish business priorities, consulting with technical experts to develop alternative technical solutions.
- Coordinate with other IT functional areas to stay informed about project statuses and communicate progress to customer management.
- Guide and motivate the technical team to foster a collaborative environment that meets departmental operational objectives.
- Manage configuration responsibilities in specialized systems (e.g., SAP) to effectively modify program functionalities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 10-13 years of relevant experience.
- Degree in IT or a complementary business field is preferred.
- Consideration for Associate-level candidates with substantial experience.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience managing client areas across multiple countries, divisions, and domains.
- Leadership experience with offshore and onsite teams from service partners.
- Strong background in SAP ERP, particularly in SAP-SCM (Production Planning, Production Execution, Quality Management), SAP-PTP (Procurement and Accounts Payables), SAP-APO, and SAP-Ariba.
- Familiarity with SAP SRM is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business users and collaborate with offshore teams.
- Accountable for end-to-end support and performance reporting.
- Develop and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metrics to ensure service levels are maintained and improved.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas in accessible terms.
- Strong leadership and collaboration abilities.
- Problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis and resolution.
- Understanding of process costs and effective operations management.
