Construction Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Accountant to join our team in North Jersey. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for various financial tasks including billing, A/R, A/P, general ledger maintenance, and cost accounting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to billing (AIA & Quickbooks), accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Assisting with the preparation and review of monthly and year-end financial reports, as well as budgeting and certified payroll.
- Maintaining accurate records of job costs, transactions, and accruals, including general and administrative expenses.
- Handling collections of past due invoices and accounts, including sending monthly customer statements.
- Coordinating bank reconciliations and deposits.
You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our CFO and external accounting firm to review financial statements and participate in the annual audit process.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Estimated Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum
