  • Ensure synchronization of product, material, and information flows to maximize efficiency and minimize operational costs in sheet metal fabrication;
  • Generate innovative ideas to enhance business outcomes, particularly in sheet metal fabrication;
  • Deploy standard Generac methodologies, tools, and practices;
  • Set objectives that include continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving customer satisfaction;
  • Collaborate closely with shop floor personnel to foster ongoing enhancements in manufacturing methods, systems, and controls.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field;
  • 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role, specifically supporting soft-tooled sheet metal fabrication processes such as turret punching, laser cutting, press brakes, and powder coating;
  • Proven project management experience in the acquisition and implementation of new machine tools from inception to achieving targeted production throughput.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Amada and Salvagnini fabrication equipment;
  • Familiarity with powder coating systems such as Gema, Nordson, or Wagner;
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software relevant to sheet metal fabrication;
  • Strong skills in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or ProE);
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities;
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvements;
  • Diverse experience leading projects across various functions;
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve desired outcomes;
  • Experience in high mix, low volume, and high volume, low mix production settings;
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills;
  • Proven ability to manage shifting deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Physical Demands: The role requires regular communication and manual dexterity. The employee will frequently stand and walk, with occasional requirements to stoop, bend, or reach overhead.
