Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Chief Nursing Officer to join our team at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the future of nursing at our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage nursing operations across multiple regions, ensuring high-quality patient care and excellent patient experience.
  • Develop and implement nursing professional practice models that promote evidence-based practice and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and other stakeholders to identify and address quality and safety concerns.
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to nursing teams, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and achieving financial goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge and expertise to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Healthcare or Hospital Administration, Nursing Administration, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • At least 5 years of progressive responsibility in nursing management experience, with a strong track record of leadership and innovation.
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of KY or WV, depending on legal state of residence.
  • BLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Certification in Nurse Leadership and/or Clinical Specialty.
  • Doctorate degree in Nursing or a related field.
