Emulation Engineering Specialist

Position Overview:
As an Emulation Staff Engineer at Intelliswift, you will play a pivotal role in the development and validation of advanced ASIC designs through emulation platforms. Your expertise will contribute to the successful integration and testing of various components within our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement models from released RTL for emulation platforms, with a preference for HAPS.
- Generate loadable images for target platforms, ensuring thorough testing and release to Firmware and Design Verification teams.
- Conduct sanity tests to qualify image releases, collaborating closely with multiple teams including Functional Validation and Firmware.
- Assist in debugging failures by providing instrumented models, including waveform dumps and in-circuit debugging, while effectively interfacing with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the Tools team to validate tool and model releases, ensuring seamless integration into workflows.
- Utilize FPGA and emulator methodologies to enhance development processes.
- Leverage experience with daughtercards, speedbridges, and virtual prototyping to optimize performance.
- Apply knowledge of hardware emulators and emulation methodologies, including in-circuit emulation and simulation acceleration.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the complete design cycle to facilitate the integration of various IP designs.
- Utilize simulation acceleration techniques, including DPI and transactors, to enhance efficiency.
- Exhibit proficiency in RTL and synthesis, contributing to high-quality design outputs.
Logic Simulation Expertise:
- Proficient in VCS/NCSIM for logic simulation tasks.
Programming and Scripting Skills:
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python are essential.
- Experience with CPU integration, particularly ARM/RISC-V, is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with CoreSight/UltraSoC debug infrastructure integration is a plus.
- Knowledge of OS kernel and driver development will be beneficial.
- Understanding of various I/O protocols such as MIPI CSI & DSI, USB, PCIe, and LPDDR is required.
- Experience with FPGA and emulation platforms is necessary, along with lab system debugging skills using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Experience in structured software development and prototyping.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python and TCL.
- Knowledge of algorithms, architecture, and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and firmware development.
- Experience with performance modeling is advantageous.
Additional Job Details:
- Involvement in concept prototyping and advanced firmware engineering is expected.
