Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist is a vital member of the Brooklyn Hospital Center team, responsible for performing routine radiographic procedures in the main department and satellite areas. This role requires a strong foundation in diagnostic radiographic equipment, radiology drugs, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all routine radiographic procedures in the main department and satellite areas.
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic radiographic equipment.
  • Administer radiology drugs, including contrast media and bowel preps.
  • Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills to patients and healthcare team members.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills are required.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved two-year program for Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Staff Radiology Technologist in a comparable hospital setting.
  • Current New York State license in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
