Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Buyer to join our team at Accurus Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for procuring materials and services for manufacturing aerospace and defense components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal personnel to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and communicate order status and delivery changes to stakeholders.
  • Request quotes, negotiate pricing and delivery, issue purchase orders, and update lead times and order and delivery changes within the ERP system.
  • Perform supply chain activities using sound business practices, good negotiation and communication skills, and consummate business ethics.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, including quality certification and delivery performance.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with suppliers and coworkers via telephone, email, and in-person.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other applicable field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a purchasing role in a manufacturing industry, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Supply Chain certification by APICS, ISM, or similar is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is generally performed in a typical office setting, with frequent visits to the manufacturing and/or warehouse environment. The employee may be exposed to excessive noise, dust, smoke, fumes/vapors, extreme temperatures, and hazardous equipment.

Occasional travel, including overnight travel, may be required. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving history to meet insurance standards is required.
