Position Overview:

As a CT Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to operate computerized tomography equipment to perform tests and procedures that yield vital diagnostic information for patients. This role entails preparing patients, ensuring the safe functioning of equipment, and promoting favorable health outcomes.

Core Duties:
  • Conduct computerized tomography examinations to ensure optimal imaging quality
  • Interpret imaging requests, collaborating with radiologists as necessary
  • Secure consent for contrast administration when required and perform blood draws for renal function assessment
  • Engage with patients to evaluate risk factors and medical history
  • Select suitable scanning techniques and imaging settings based on comprehensive knowledge and expertise
  • Support patients throughout the examination process with empathy and cultural awareness
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiological Science program
  • Registered CT technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • In-depth understanding of human anatomy
  • Experience in interpreting complex radiology requests
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with point-of-care testing platforms such as Abbott i-Stat
  • Understanding of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
