- Ensure timely preparation of food items, utilizing batch cooking and cook-to-order methods to guarantee freshness.
- Prepare food products in a manner that upholds the highest standards of food safety and preserves nutritional value, catering to the specific dietary needs of residents.
- Participate in scheduled dining service meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen:
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all work areas and equipment before and after use.
- Adhere to proper food handling and storage protocols in compliance with company and state food safety regulations.
- Document all temperature logs and records as per company policy.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks to ensure compliance with sanitary standards.
- A minimum of five years of experience in high-quality food preparation.
- Experience in scratch cooking within a high-volume, fine dining environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Outlook and Word.
- At least one year of prior experience in food preparation.
- A high school diploma or GED; a college degree or equivalent is preferred.
