Medical Professional

CSL Plasma is seeking a highly skilled Medical Professional to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for evaluating donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and providing limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Donor Interviews: Conduct confidential and effective interviews with donors to obtain necessary information regarding suitability to donate plasma.
- Medical History Reviews: Perform medical history reviews and health assessments on donors, assessing results of donor screening and laboratory tests to determine initial and continuing donor suitability.
- Immunization Administration: Administer approved immunizations and supervise the administration of immunizations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Emergency Medical Care: Provide routine care as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and elevate situations to the Center Physician or local medical service providers as required.
- Donor Data Management: Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system, maintaining confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
- Education: Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic medical training program.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare environment, with experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, occasionally performing tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of the time. The ability to make decisions with moderate impact on the immediate work unit is essential.
