Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will provide high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans for patients with a wide range of medical conditions. You will also have the opportunity to engage in nursing research and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and improve our department's performance.
Responsibilities:
Assess and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
Engage in patient throughput and flow processes, planning for admission, discharge, and transfer needs.
Evaluate the overall nursing care during assigned shifts and participate in staffing assessments.
Incorporate patient safety practices and evidence-based care to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare-related laws and regulations.
Engage in nursing research and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and improve our department's performance.
Requirements:
1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
RN License in state of employment or compact
BLS required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred
